Graphical Abstract
The Cover Feature shows a comparative study on transforming 2,5-bis(hydroxymethyl)furan to 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid by thermal and electrocatalysis. On a cheap Co@NC catalyst, thermal catalysis crawls like a turtle, whereas electrocatalysis races like a cheetah. Moreover, employing renewable wind or solar power for electrocatalysis promises a greener future than conventional thermochemical factories.
